The Music

Music was very important to the soldiers of the Civil War. It lifted their spirits when times became rough and encouraged them even in the midst of battle. Since this music was so important I have added some links to sites which provide a treasure trove of period music.

The music in the background on this site will change periodically but whatever the tune, the mood and feeling of the tune playing will reflect the time.
